I’m Caleb Wistad, the creator behind HookedUpWI — a Midwest-based fishing brand built on one simple goal: to help anglers learn more, catch more, and fall in love with fishing all over again.
From the clear lakes of northern Wisconsin to the vast ice of Lake Superior, to the ever-changing currents of the Mississippi River, I’ve spent decades chasing everything that swims — walleyes, lake trout, crappies, sturgeon, and everything in between. Along the way, I realized something important: the best part of fishing isn’t just the catch — it’s the learning, adapting, and passing that knowledge on to others.
That’s what HookedUpWI is all about.
Through my YouTube channel @CalebWistad, I share in-depth tutorials, honest gear breakdowns, and real-world fishing adventures that show what works (and what doesn’t) on the lakes we all fish. Every video is designed to teach, entertain, and give everyday anglers the tools to get more out of their time on the water.
